About us

The Cross Keys Llanfynydd is a 17th century pub Situated between Mold and Wrexham on the Offas Dyke with open fires and a real oldy worldy atmosphere with lots to offer.

Let us start with our real ales which have proudly entered us into the CAMRA good beer guide for the last 10 years. www.camra.org.uk. We always offer locally brewed ales that change regularly throughout the week.  We hold a modest range of bottled ciders and European beers to compliment the draught varieties.

The Cross Keys bar and restaurant menu has something for every palate: steaks, salads, homemade burgers, curries, fresh fish and every month a seasonal special using locally sourced ingredients.  We have a curry night on a Tuesday using the finest spices and blends by seasoned pioneers. www.seasonedpioneers.co.uk  and has regularly been quoted to be “The best pub curry in Wrexham”.  The curry night is followed by the pub quiz and jackpot roll over.

If you enjoy walking or cycling, The Cross Keys is a fantastic starting point with literally hundreds of walk ways and bridal paths.  We are highlighted in Flintshire County Council’s booklet “Rural walks in Flintshire” as a starting point.  The council cannot bias one pub but we know that the real reason is that you also have to finish there.  If you are likely to finish your walk outside of our usual opening times, let us know before you leave and we will do our best to open for refreshments on your return.

Sample Menu

Below is a selection of the type of food you can expect when you visit the Cross Keys.  It's the little things that we do that make the big difference, for example, chopping the tomatoes for the salsa by hand to keep it chunky and rustic, ensuring our fishcakes are packed full of fish rather than potato and slow cooking our lamb curry for four hours to ensure every tender piece falls apart in your mouth.

Went to Cross Keys, LLannfynedd on Saturday night. Lovely warm atmosphere, two log fires. Went with my wife Olive, son Nigel, daughter in law Michelle, grand-daughter Victoria. If you like gammon you've got to try here, but beware the portions are large, thick and succulent. Cut straight off the leg. Using Wrexham Savers card saved £34. Real good value.
